This archive began gathering stories, memories and experience in April 2026. Forty years since American Peace Test’s founding, a proper archive of the work and the experience we gained from it is a good thing, and an informative resource.
Why Now? The threat of the use of nuclear weapons is higher now in 2026 than it has been since the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientist’s Doomsday Clock is now at 85 seconds.The closest it has ever been to midnight.
The archive is being put together by Stephanie Fraser, who was APT staff in Las Vegas from 1987 until 1991.
As the site develops, more people will contribute.
