The San Fransicso Bay Area, in California, was a strong supporter of the actions to stop the testing.
Because of the strong support of many organizations, including the SF Chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility, there were always a large number of people coming to the Test Site actions from the Bay Area.
And as such, a collective of organizers came together to form the Bay Area Peace Test.
