Reclaim the Test Site II, April 1989
April 1989, the second Reclaim the Test Site took place. Again thousands of people came from around the world to the encampment. There were educational events, nonviolence trainings, drum circles, song and laughter, and of course, civil resistance in the form of crossing onto the Test Site, mostly at the entrance and, some, trekked to the back country of the Test Site.
The weather was extremely hot during this action, and it meant that extra care needed to be given to making sure people were hydrated and not becoming over heated.
