The demonstration on February 5, 1987 was the largest demonstration at the Nevada Test Site, to date.
It was a bright sunny day with the bluest of skies.
The activists when they were arrested were taken to Beatty, Nevada, about 60 miles away. Then they were released, and scores of people drove up following the DOE buses to retrieve those arrested and return them to the rally site.
